So my point?  Ah yes, my point is that I just wanted to assure everyone, who is not apart of my groups longlifers and steampunk that, yes, I am in fact still alive.  I have yet to have time for anything other than group monitoring lately here on DA, but I thought I'd try to steer everyone over to our groups again   I've been with steampunk for a couple of months now.  Everything is organized and fully monitored by myself and the founder of the group.
That's about all I have for you now. I will catch up with you all hopefully sooner rather than later.

Okay, so as some of you already know from past journals I have discussed my brother-in-law, AllenFuchs32308.  He is a fantastic artist, but he's not getting too much love here on DA.  His art is very unique and some of it abstract, but it's also his own style and I'm trying to help him get more involved in the DA community by joining groups and friending other artists with similar traits.  So, I ask, please help him and share the love of his artwork too.  He loves to draw cartoony dragons and I hope to encourage him to expand that once he gets a computer equipped to handle a drawing pad and program.

This has been the best birthday weekend by far for me ever.  Period.  I got to spend Saturday with my sister, who is my quintessential best friend, and my two favorite girlfriends!  We shopped, had lunch, saw a movie, gossiped and did girlie stuff ALL DAY!!!  COMPLETELY out of my norm, by the way.  I'm a tomboy at heart still which is probably why I ordered myself a new pair of steel toed, (excuse the language) ass whoopin' Dr. Martens Combat Boots while we were out shopping!  WOOT!  I can't wait to get those bad boys!

Spent today with the family and tomorrow I'm going over to my friend Ben's shop so he can show me how to work on my transmission!  He's the head mechanic/assistant manager of a well known car repair shop in the area.  I can't wait and I'm very excited to learn new things.  He is so busy, but when I said I'd cook for him again in return he didn't miss a beat in agreeing!  Boys, you think with your stomachs...most of time anyways, lol

On a side note, I am still delving more into Steampunk.  I am picking up parts - keys, cogs, chains and whatnots to make jewelry, gadgets and the like for a complete costume.  I have, as of yet, to go to the fabric store to look at patterns and well fabric of course for the costume, but I'm working on it slowly for the time being.  I'm considering taking a few welding classes to become better equipped with the art making that I have in mind.

Happy Singles Awareness Day, by the way!!!!!  I am happy to be such! lmao

But my true reason for posting is that I'm sooooo excited for the early birthday present to myself!  That's right, I turn 22 in exactly seven days, and I'm celebrating it like it's my 21st all over again, mostly because I didn't get to celebrate my 21st last year >unimpressed face<.  So my present?  Oh yes, my present!  I bought myself the Wacom Bamboo Tablet!!!  >squeals of joy!!<  It should be ariving in about a week.
